Digi-Key Corporation and Anaren Sign Global Distribution Agreement

    06/25/2012

Global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's largest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, has announced it has entered into a global distribution agreement with Anaren (Nasdaq: Anen) and will distribute Anaren's Integrated Radio (AIR) modules. Anaren is a major innovator of standard products and custom microwave and RF technology and is organized into two operating groups, each one targeting a major industry sector: the Space & Defense Group and the Wireless Group. "RF technology is one of the fastest growing tech segments in today's market," said Mark Zack, Digi-Key's vice president of global semiconductor product. "Anaren is well-placed to continue innovating within this market, and we are pleased to add them to our expansive line card." Anaren's AIR modules, developed in partnership with Texas Instruments as part of TI's Design Network, are the industry's easiest, most elegant, and most cost-effective way to implement low-power RF capability. Each AIR module incorporates a proven Texas Instruments low-power RF transceiver chip and is compatible with all TI-approved software stacks. "We are genuinely excited to have Digi-Key represent our AIR product line," said Mark Bowyer, the business development manager in Anaren's Wireless Group responsible for the AIR line. "We chose Digi-Key based on its excellent reputation for customer service, impressive customer base, and ability to provide online customers with a new supply chain option." Anaren's AIR modules are available for purchase now on Digi-Key's global websites. www.digikey.com www.anaren.com
