ENFRA, a national leader in Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), announced today the acquisition of River Mechanical Services, a well-established mechanical contractor and service organization headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This strategic acquisition marks ENFRA’s expansion into the Northeast and furthers its mission to deliver responsive, full-service energy infrastructure solutions across the country.

Founded in 1997, River Mechanical has built a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship, 24/7 service availability, and customer-focused project delivery. The company offers a wide range of services, including HVAC, plumbing repair and installation, and critical system maintenance. River Mechanical provides service to several flagship organizations across Philadelphia’s commercial real estate, healthcare, higher education, and hospitality markets.

“This acquisition strengthens our national footprint and supports our long-term growth strategy,” said Philip Catanzaro, Chief Operating Officer of ENFRA. “Bringing River Mechanical into the ENFRA family immediately strengthens our capabilities in the Northeast and positions us to serve our clients in the Northeast with the same urgency, care, and expertise that define our brand.”

River Mechanical will maintain its full suite of services through Mechanical Resource Contractors (MRC), a subsidiary under the ENFRA umbrella, and will now be backed by ENFRA’s national scale and long-term asset management capabilities. MRC is a proud signatory of Steamfitters Local 420 and Plumbers Local 690, affirming its commitment to quality and workforce excellence.

“We’re proud to join forces with ENFRA,” said Kevin McFadden, President of River Mechanical. “Our team has always prioritized reliability, technical excellence, and customer trust, values that align perfectly with ENFRA’s vision. This partnership allows us to grow while continuing to serve our clients with the same dedication they’ve come to expect.”

For ENFRA, the River Mechanical acquisition represents a significant step toward nationwide service coverage and a deeper footprint in urban markets. The company’s strategic expansion will ensure more institutions, from hospitals to higher education, have access to energy-efficient solutions, reliable service, and high-performance building infrastructure.
