    FERC approves Wisconsin Electric Power's $27M purchase of NextEra wind facility

    The FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) has approved the proposed purchase by Wisconsin Electric Power subsidiary of Wisconsin Energy's of a 30-MW wind farm from NextEra Energy Resources for $27 million. Wisconsin Electric Power will purchase all membership interests in Badger Windpower from NextEra subsidiary FPL Energy American Wind. Badger Windpower owns and operates the 30-MW Montfort Wind farm in Iowa County, WI.
