    Inside Secure appoints new VP of R&D

    Inside Secure, designer, developer and supplier of semiconductors, embedded software, and platforms for secure transactions and digital security has appointed Dimitrios Karayiannis to the position of VP of research and development. He will be responsible for the development of all products for Inside Secure NFC (near-field communication), digital security, and secure-payment business lines. Karayiannis is bringing more than 16 years of hardware and software experience in the semiconductor industry, including more than 10 years of management experience in product development of application and base-band processors. Prior to joining Inside Secure, Karayiannis held various positions at Texas Instruments in the United States and France. As a member of the senior leadership team at Texas Instruments France, he managed the R&D organisation for the wireless business unit. Karayiannis, a Greek citizen, holds a PhD in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University. Inside Secure
