The Midwest Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC) welcomes a new collaborative partner, the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), based in Chicago, IL. “The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, the Midwest's largest & most diverse membership organization of its kind, is working to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient programs, products, and practices across all sectors of the economy,” said Alan Perlstein. “Because of our common focus on energy efficiency, M-WERC’s industry roadmaps and advanced technology research and MEEA's complementary insight in policy and programs across the Midwest and nationally, our strategic partnership will strengthen the value proposition we deliver to our respective members.”

MEEA is also a charter member of the new Midwest Industrial Energy Efficiency Working Group formed by M-WERC and Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) as one of the major recommendations of the Energy Efficiency Strategic Industry Roadmap, an M-WERC-led research project.

“MEEA’s understanding of the various IEE (Industrial Energy Efficiency) programs across the Midwest will be very helpful in enabling our working group to develop new ideas and concepts that will help double the IEE business across the Midwest region.” said John Bobrowich, M-WERC Director of Market and Industry Expansion.
