    Miguel Fragoso appointed as engineering director for Lotus

    Group Lotus plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Miguel Fragoso as Engineering Director. He will have overall responsibility for all aspects of engineering at Lotus.

     

    Miguel will be based at Lotus’ Headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk and will report to the CEO of Group Lotus plc, Jean-Marc Gales.

    A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Miguel has held a number of senior roles with the automotive industry, most recently as CEO of Millbrook Proving Ground, where he grew and diversified Millbrook from a proving ground and test site to become a complete vehicle engineering development centre.

    Prior to the role at Millbrook, he held senior positions in engineering and corporate planning at General Motors, in the UK, mainland Europe and Japan.

    Jean-Marc Gales, Chief Executive Officer of Group Lotus plc, said, “I would like to welcome Miguel to Lotus. His background in the automotive industry in delivering vehicle programmes will assist in the delivery of our growth plans for the future.”

    Miguel Fragoso is an engineering graduate from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, and holds a post graduate in engineering from Glasgow University where he was a Stevenson Fellow. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
