MIT to offer course on tackling the challenges of big data

    01/14/2014

MIT Professional Education will offer “Tackling the Challenges of Big Data” over four weeks beginning March 4, 2014. This course is the first of its kind: cutting edge content delivered by world-renowned CSAIL researchers, in a flexible format for working professionals, on an open source educational platform developed by edX.

Our course provides companies an opportunity to achieve critical mass in a knowledge base that is immediately applicable to today’s big data issues; and at a fraction of the cost of traditional corporate education ($495 per person). For individuals, the benefit is not only the certificate of completion from MIT Professional Education, but also the ability to join our vast professional alumni network.

The program consists of video lectures as well as case studies illustrating tools such as big data visualization and the challenges big data poses in industries such as transportation, medicine and finance.
