OMRON Launches P6K Sockets Compatible with G6K Relay Series to Simplify Assembly and Maintenance

The new socket solution streamlines printed circuit board (PCB) assembly while simplifying relay replacement and repair in both manufacturing and field applications.

The P6K socket is engineered to match the G6K series terminal arrangement and mating structure, offering reliable insertion and removal durability for surface-mount applications. When paired with a G6K relay, the P6K socket demonstrates no increase in contact resistance after 50 insertions, ensuring dependable, long-term electrical performance. Traditionally, relay replacement requires removing and re-mounting components by melting solder—a process that is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly.
