PSMA to hold session on solar, today and tomorrow at APEC 2014

The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Alternative Energy Committee is sponsoring an Industry Session at APEC 2014. The session, “Solar, Today and Tomorrow,” will explore various aspects of the strong growth in solar adoption including micro-grids, new business models, and solar system optimization. The PSMA-sponsored Industry Session on Alternative Energy (IS1.2) will take place on Wednesday morning, March 19, 2014, from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Featured are four invited experts from industry, researchers and analysts who will provide attendees an overview of the current applications and insights that may enable them to anticipate and identify potential opportunities for their companies to participate in markets with this important segment of technology.

Session topics include:
• The Global PV Solar Market including regional drivers
• Austin Energy’s Micro-grid Project
• Maximizing Residential Solar Production
• Financing Innovations

Chavonne Yee of Power-One and John McManus, Industry Consultant, co-chairs of the session stated “this Industry Session brings together leaders in the Alternative Energy sector that are innovating in the areas of technology, marketing, and financing to shape this fast growing market sector.
