    PSMA to Sponsor APEC 2018 Industry Session on Electric Vehicle Batteries and Charging Technologies

    Industry and government agency experts will offer insights into vehicle electrification

    MENDHAM, N.J.— At APEC 2018, the Power Sources Manufacturers Association's (PSMA) Transportation Power Electronics Technical Committee will sponsor an APEC Industry Session titled: “Vehicle Batteries – It’s More Than Just Stacking Cells Together and an EV1 Retrospective.” The session (IS12) will feature seven speakers from industry and government research laboratories who will discuss the new and evolving technologies shaping the transportation market. The session will be held during the APEC conference on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m., at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

    The Transportation Industry Session will include presentations covering vehicle battery technologies and their charging, testing and thermal management. It will include an overview and comparison of on-board charger topologies and supercap applications for power electronics in automotive applications. The session will also provide a retrospective on the EV1.

    PSMA Transportation Power Electronics Committee co-chairs, Ralph Taylor of Delphi Technologies and Fred Weber of Future Technology Worldwide, encourage attendees of APEC 2018 to attend this informative Industry Session and to consider participating in the other PSMA-sponsored Industry Sessions during the week.
