Rochester Electronics reduces customer lead times in Asia with Willas-Array Electronics partnership

    11/21/2013

Rochester Electronics has recently added Willas-Array Electronics (Holdings) Limited out of Hong Kong as an authorized distributor for Rochester-brand semiconductors. Established in 1981, Willas-Array Electronics has become one of the largest Hong Kong-based electronic component distributors in the Asia-PAC region, and will focus on industrial, telecom, medical, and automotive markets.

“Willas-Array Electronics (Holdings) Limited has worked diligently to become a truly global electronics distributor, and aims to continuously create and deliver the highest value for electronics customers. Their commitment to growth and continuous improvement, in addition to their integrity and service-based core values, makes them an excellent partner for Rochester Electronics and our customers,” said Martin Chatterton, Director of Worldwide Sales at Rochester Electronics.

“The semiconductor market in the Asia-Pac region has experienced a dramatic increase in growth. As a result, more industry segments are coming to us for solutions to their obsolescence needs,” said Jane Wong, Regional Manager of the Asia-Pacific region. “Our goal for the Shanghai office has been to establish a highly-qualified network of partners, and we feel as though the addition of Willas-Array Electronics will be a great fit among our growing list.”

Rochester Electronics acquires the original manufacturer’s remaining inventory, including packaged device, finished devices, die, intellectual property, tooling, test programs and test equipment, to provide a continuous supply of authorized end-of-life (EOL), mature and discontinued semiconductors. This transfer of technology assures there is no interruption of authorized and certi?ed devices in the supply chain.
