DESIGN CENTERS: TEST & MEASUREMENT

Rohde & Schwarz partners with Conrad Business Supplies

    12/01/2014

Conrad Business Supplies has become a stockist of Rohde & Schwarz measurement instruments as a result of the decision by the leading manufacturer to market products from its subsidiary HAMEG Instruments GmbH under the Rohde & Schwarz name.

Munich-based Rohde & Schwarz acquired HAMEG in 2005 and in 2011 integrated the entire product range through its own well-established European distribution network. Amongst the key Rohde & Schwarz products now offered by Conrad is the new R&S HMO1002 series of entry level oscilloscopes that offer reliable fanless operation and features including 1 MPts of memory depth and a 1 Gsa/s real-time sampling rate. Another popular product range is the new R&S HMC804x power supply series that includes unique features such as data logging and an integrated energy meter that are not usually part of the specification of equipment in the entry level price bracket.

"We have enjoyed great success with HAMEG over the years and the company has a great product range, especially in the entry-level measurement market.“, said Thomas Pilhofer and Benedikt Sehr, Product Managers, Category Business Supplies. "The re-branding and re-badging to Rohde & Schwarz will only help to strengthen the perception and reputation of what is an excellent set of measurement instruments that offer a high level of quality and comprehensive set of features and functionality in the lower price brackets. We are pleased to add Rhode & Schwarz’s product range to our current portfolio."
