SCHURTER Receives PSE-JET Approval for High-Performance SMD Fuses

­SCHURTER product family types UMZ 250, UMF 250, UMK 250 according to IEC 60127-4 have received the Japanese PSE-Jet approval.  The newly marked packaging will be rolled out the first week of April 2023, date code 2314 or higher on the label. 

SCHURTER offers a wide range of circuit protection solutions for mounting directly on the circuit board. The fuse families UMF 250, and UMT 250 provide overcurrent and short circuit protection in primary and secondary circuits for a wide range of applications, including battery management systems, modems, lighting systems and power supplies. The compact 3 x 10.1 mm SMD fuse series UMF 250 is rated 0.5 A – 15 A for voltages up to 250 VAC and 125 VDC, with a breaking capacity up to 500 A depending on current rating. The Time-Lag version UMT 250 is rated 0.08 A – 10 A 250 VAC/VDC with breaking capacity up to 200 A. The range is complemented with the two types UMZ 250 and UMK 250, which consists of clips with pre-installed fuses for one-step installation. The clips allow for fuse replacement.

The Japanese market is one of the world’s largest electronics markets. The PSE Mark is a mandatory safety and EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) approval for electrical products sold on the Japanese market. The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) is the responsible authority for the PSE Certification.
