SemiQ Expands European Reach and Support Through Partnership with Power Electronics Distribution Specialist ISP
SemiQ Inc, a designer, developer, and global supplier of superior silicon carbide (SiC) solutions for ultra-efficient, high-performance, and high-voltage applications, has announced a distribution agreement with Ibérica Semiconductores de Potencia, a Spanish-headquartered specialist in power electronics.
This partnership expands SemiQ’s European reach and support for its range of high performance SiC MOSFETs and Schottky diodes that deliver with industry-leading reliability and efficiency.
Under the deal, Ibérica will have access to SemiQ’s complete portfolio of modules, discrete and bare-die products, and will provide these with application and design support to power system developers across the entire continent. Headquartered in Madrid, Ibérica has a long-established position in the Spanish power electronics market and will lead the development of SemiQ’s business in Spain, while supporting customers and opportunities across Europe.
Industrial and automotive systems are undergoing electrification to meet sustainability requirements, with data centers and other high-power sectors striving to become more energy efficient. At the same time renewable generation and storage is scaling rapidly to meet demand and reduce the impact of these sectors. As a result, the market for silicon carbide-based power electronics continues to grow rapidly.
SemiQ’s portfolio is noted for its ruggedness and reliability in demanding environments, and integrates seamlessly into Ibérica’s specialized focus on renewables, transport, and industrial applications.
