276 abstract submissions in total have resulted from this years' Call for Papers, which represents an increase of 10% in comparison to last year. 141 authors have applied for the Young Engineer Award, of which all three winners receive prize money of €1000 each. The topics covered include recent developments in power semiconductors, passive components, thermal management products, energy storage, sensors, new materials, and systems. This year's conference focuses on Wind and Solar—Integration, Challenges, and Solutions. At the beginning of December, the Advisory Board will decide the PCIM Europe 2013 conference program.
