TE Connectivity enables plug and play capability for connected lighting

    02/11/2015

Come visit TE Connectivity (TE) at booth #1140 at Strategies in Light. See TE’s latest electrical interconnect solutions, and learn how TE is helping to inspire new designs in connected lighting systems by enabling “plug-and-play” lighting that allow for more modularity and flexibility in building spaces.

Plug-and-play systems utilize localized, low-voltage DC power supplies to provide power to light fixtures, and offer a number of advantages over hardwired systems including simpler and faster installation, reduced costs and increased flexibility. Keyed and polarized connectors make it impossible to improperly connect the fixtures, meaning light fixtures can be added, subtracted or re-positioned quickly – making it easier and more affordable for changes to be made or lights added to the network.

In the booth, TE will feature end-to-end product solutions through a new 3D model to showcase connected lighting system applications. The 3D model will represent applications where you can find TE’s connectors, power systems, LUMAWISE LED holders and one of their latest innovations, the Multi-Channel Photocontrol Receptacle that offer design engineers modularity for easy integration.
