SL Power's Four New Families of Open Frame Power Supplies

    05/01/2019

SL Power announced new additions to the GB series of open frame or PCB mount ac-dc power supply families. The new GB10, GB20, GB30, and GB40 families will be certified to medical and industrial safety approvals. They will also meet heavy industrial safety levels of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) immunity standards. The series consists of four families, with 10, 20, 30 or 40 watt power ratings and each family includes models with output voltages ranging from 5 to 48 V. The power supplies can accept a universal input range from 90 to 264 Vac over the wide temperature range of minus 20 to plus 70 degrees Celsius, with derating above 40 degrees Celsius.

The high performance of SL Power’s new GB series power supplies, with market-leading EMI/EMC characteristics and long product life, makes it easier for medical and industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate these power conversion units into their products. These units are approved to medical and industrial safety standards: EN/IEC/UL60601-1, 3rd edition (with 2xMOPP isolation), and EN/IEC/UL62368-1. In addition, they are designed to meet the EMC requirements per UL/EN/IEC60601-1-2, 4th edition (Heavy Industrial levels of EN61000-4-x standards).

Long life electrolytic capacitors (e-caps rated over at least 8 years, with some rated over 10 years) and a high MTBF (one million hours) underline the reliability of these new power supplies while a three-year warranty gives customers confidence in their choice of power conversion partner.
